The lake keeps
its own counsel
— and so will you.

Nestled along the quiet shores of South Twin Lake, our campground offers a rare kind of stillness — tree-shaded sites, the murmur of water, and the vast Oregon sky above.

Our Story

A place that asks for nothing — and gives everything.

South Twin Lake Campground has welcomed visitors to the quiet shores of Deschutes County for decades. Set among mature pines and lodgepole stands, our grounds sit at the water's edge — close enough to hear the lap of waves, far enough to feel utterly alone.

Whether you arrive in a full-hookup rig or with nothing but a tent and a sleeping bag, you'll find the same thing here: space to breathe, darkness at night, and the kind of morning silence that makes you want to stay a little longer.

The Area

Beyond the treeline

South Twin Lake sits in a landscape that changes with the seasons — snow-dusted peaks in spring, emerald forests in summer, and a quiet gold in autumn. The Deschutes National Forest surrounds you, and the high desert stretches beyond.

From our doorstep, you can fish, kayak, hike, or simply sit and watch the light move across the water. Bend and Redmond are a short drive away for supplies, but the real reason you'll stay is right here.
